Borkum Riffgrund 2, a 464.8 MW offshore wind farm comprising 56 Vestas V164-8.3 MW turbines on monopile and suction bucket jacket foundations in the German North Sea, entered full commercial operation in December 2018 after construction that commenced earlier that year. Following full commissioning in late 2018, the project has since been operating at its intended capacity, supplying enough clean electricity to power around 460,000 German households and later receiving a project certificate from Bureau Veritas covering design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning.
