Description
Semco Maritime carried out an electrical engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) scope for the Borkum Riffgrund 1 offshore substation on behalf of Bladt Industries, with Ørsted Energy as end customer. The work (2012–2013) covered multiple electrical and utility disciplines for the offshore substation, including high- and medium-voltage systems, low-voltage systems, protection and control systems, and communication/IT systems, as well as auxiliary systems such as diesel generator systems, HVAC, drainage and waste systems, and platform identification systems.
