Greencoat Renewables PLC acquired a 50% stake in the 312 MW Borkum Riffgrund 1 offshore wind farm from KIRKBI A/S (31.5%) and William Demant Invest A/S (18.5%) for a total cash consideration of around €350 million, with Ørsted remaining a 50% shareholder and continuing to provide long-term O&M and management services. By May 2022, the former minority partners’ share had been sold to the Irish investor, which took over their combined half of the project.
