TenneT TSO awarded Norddeutsche Seekabelwerke GmbH (NSW) a contract on 8 November 2011 to produce and install two parallel 155 kV AC submarine cable systems, totalling 26 km, to connect the Borkum Riffgrund 1 offshore wind farm to the DolWin alpha offshore converter platform as part of the DolWin1 grid connection.
