Description
Royal BAM Group designed and built five gravity-based foundations (GBFs) for the 41.5 MW Blyth Offshore Demonstrator wind farm. The foundations were constructed in the Neptune dry dock on the Tyne and were floated to site and installed using the project’s “float and submerge” method, then ballasted on the seabed to act as the turbine support structures.
