Description
Stantec provided engineering design for the Berwick Bank grid connection works, covering the cable routes and the onshore converter station to enable offshore-generated electricity to connect into the National Grid. The scope included assessing multiple routing options to accommodate local constraints and developing conceptual layouts for the converter station, including measures to minimise surplus material export and maximise sustainable drainage opportunities. The work was undertaken for SSE Renewables in relation to the Cambois, Northumberland connection area.
