Renexia first proposed the Beleolico offshore wind project in 2008, selecting a site just off the Port of Taranto in Italy’s Apulia region for what would become the first offshore wind farm in the Mediterranean. This marked the formal definition of the project location and concept, later developed into a 10‑turbine, 30 MW nearshore installation.
