The Beatrice 400/200 kV onshore substation at Blackhillock, including two 400 kV circuits linking it to SSEN’s adjacent Blackhillock transmission substation and the 220 kV onshore export cable circuits from the landfall at Portgordon, was fully energised and operational as part of the Beatrice OFTO assets, with construction and energisation works reported complete by July 2018.
