According to Inelfe’s project schedule, system testing of the Bay of Biscay HVDC interconnection is planned to start around mid‑2027. These tests will follow completion of major onshore and submarine works and will validate the performance of the dual 1,000 MW links and associated converter stations before the interconnection’s definitive commissioning in 2028.
