Statnett selected Nexans as the supplier of nine 420 kV submarine power cables—six oil-insulated and three PEX-insulated—for the new cable link across the Oslofjord between Teigen in Vestfold and Evje in Østfold, intended to replace the existing installation. At the time of reporting none of the cables had yet been delivered, with Statnett stating there were deviations and irregularities against contract requirements that Nexans was working to resolve.
