At the beginning of 2007, a detailed post-construction bird monitoring programme for the Barrow Offshore Wind Farm was agreed with Natural England, setting out aerial, boat-based and shore-based bird surveys to assess the effects of the operational wind farm on species such as Common Scoter, divers, Whooper Swan and Pink-footed Goose.
