Section 36 consent under the Electricity Act 1989 for the construction and operation of the 90 MW Barrow offshore wind farm near Barrow-in-Furness was granted on 10 March 2003, following a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment carried out by Warwick Energy in May 2002 in line with EU EIA Directive requirements and used as the basis for planning permission.
