The European Investment Bank signed a development loan for the Barrow Offshore Wind Farm on 20 December 2005, providing approximately €95.3 million (up to GBP 60 million) of debt finance towards the construction of the 90 MW offshore wind farm in the East Irish Sea near Barrow-in-Furness, with total project costs estimated at about GBP 123 million.
