In 2003 the Barrow project, including its transmission assets, was purchased from Warwick Energy by Centrica, DONG Energy and Statkraft. The purchase price covered the total project and the rights to develop the transmission assets, with ownership split 25% to Centrica, 37.5% to DONG Energy and 37.5% to Statkraft.
