By 21 February 2006, the Barrow offshore transmission assets, including the single 132 kV subsea export cable and 3.5 km onshore cable linking the Barrow offshore wind farm to the Heysham substation, had been completed and permanently energised, marking the completion of export cable installation as part of the Barrow Transmission Assets.
