Description
Siemens Energy, as part of the Siemens Energy / Dragados Offshore consortium awarded by Amprion, was responsible for the HVDC converter systems for BalWin1, including the offshore HVDC system (converter technology, transformers and switchgear) and the complete onshore HVDC converter station at Wehrendorf. Siemens Energy also assumed complete maintenance for a period of 10 years for the systems, including logistics-related services such as provision of service ships and helicopters and cyber security services.
