Kraken Robotics was contracted by Equinor for Bałtyk II & III to detect and interpret potential unexploded ordnance (pUXO), anomalies and changes in sub-seabed stratigraphy, supporting future piling operations and providing geohazard information along the export and inter-array cable routes. Kraken deployed its Sub-Bottom Imager (SBI) on an ROV to survey the proposed export and inter-array cable routes, acquiring a continuous high-resolution 3D dataset and identifying geohazards along the surveyed route. An Acoustic Corer survey was also conducted at wind turbine generator locations to mitigate foundation risks by detecting shallow subsurface geohazards.
