In May 2021, Bałtyk 2 secured its main revenue support when Poland’s Energy Regulatory Office awarded the MFW Bałtyk II and III projects 25‑year two-sided Contracts for Difference (CfDs), providing inflation-indexed price stabilisation at around EUR 71/MWh (2021 prices), corresponding to a strike price of about PLN 319.6/MWh for Bałtyk 2. The CfD regime underpins project bankability by guaranteeing a top-up when wholesale prices are below the strike price and payback when they are above it.
