50Hertz acted as the transmission system operator responsible for connecting Baltic Eagle to the onshore transmission grid, including installation of the high-voltage subsea export cables to the Lubmin grid connection (described as two subsea cables of 90 km each) and operation of the offshore substation used for voltage transformation and grid export.
