On 22 April 2022, the Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH) issued the Planfeststellungsbeschluss (plan approval decision) for the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea, authorising the construction and operation of 50 offshore wind turbines of 9.525 MW each on monopile foundations and an unstaffed offshore substation on a 42.9 km² site northeast of Rügen.
