An offshore geophysical survey campaign for Awel y Môr is scheduled to start on 25 May 2026 and run until 25 July 2026 subject to weather and sea conditions. The campaign is being conducted by PGS (Petroleum Geo-Services) using the Research/Survey vessel Ramform Vanguard (Bahamas flag, 86.2 m LOA, call sign C6JF5), one of PGS's three-component fan-array seismic vessels deploying towed equipment that may extend approximately 350 m behind the stern. Survey operations cover the proposed wind farm array area plus a deployment/recovery corridor extending northwest of the survey area. The campaign forms part of Awel y Môr's post-CfD AR7 site investigation programme alongside the parallel GEO geotechnical campaign (vessel Connector, 12 May to 15 June 2026), supporting detailed offshore design ahead of FID. AWJ Marine is acting as Fishery Liaison Officer (FLO Jim Andrews).
