DELAYED +0mo (Apr 2026): Original schedule from IPTO (ADMIE) communications anticipated start of submarine cable laying for the Nea Makri–Polypotamos (Attica–Evia 2) link on 14 March 2013 using a Norwegian cable-laying vessel. However, I could not find a follow-up official confirmation or press article with the actual start date. Given that the line only entered operation in 2015 and that project schedules often slip, I conservatively treat the planned 14 March 2013 date as a delayed projection rather than a confirmed start date. --- Independent Power Transmission Operator ADMIE scheduled the start of submarine cable installation for the Nea Makri–Polipotamos (Attica–Evia 2) interconnection on Thursday, 14 March, using the Norwegian cable-laying vessel C/S NEXANS SKAGERRAK to lay the power cables across the seabed between Evia and Nea Makri. The laying operation was planned to begin on that date and be completed within one week as part of the wider interconnection project whose total cost exceeds €80 million.
