Description
Van Oord was awarded a contract by E.ON to transport and install the foundations for the Arkona (Arkona Becken Südost) offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. The scope covered installation of the project’s 60 monopiles and their transition pieces, with installation planned for 2017 using the heavy lift installation vessel Svanen and a feeder concept to supply foundation components to the installation vessel offshore.
