Description
Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was contracted to supply, install, and commission the Arkona offshore wind farm’s turbines. The scope covered 60 SWT-6.0-154 direct-drive offshore wind turbines (385 MW total) and included a two-year service agreement. Siemens Gamesa reported completing offshore construction works including installation and commissioning of the 60 turbines between June and October 2018, with installation completed in around three months.
