In April 2016, STX France (now Chantiers de l’Atlantique) was awarded the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract for Arkona’s high‑voltage AC offshore substation, including a 4,000‑ton topside and 1,000‑ton jacket foundation to collect power from the turbines and export it to shore.
