The 385MW Arkona offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea achieved first power in late September 2018, when it supplied the first electricity into the German grid. At that time 44 of the planned 60 Siemens 6MW turbines had been installed, and project operator E.ON, in partnership with Equinor, began stepwise energisation of the remaining units.
