The turbine installation campaign at Arcadis Ost 1 began in November 2022, when Heerema’s crane vessel Thialf installed the first of 27 Vestas V174‑9.5 MW wind turbines at the project site in the German Baltic Sea northeast of Rügen. This marked the start of applying the novel floating Rotor Nacelle Assembly (RNA) installation method for the full turbine array.
