On 31 March 2021, Arcadis Ost 1 received an amendment permit under the German Federal Immission Control Act (Bundesimmissionsschutzgesetz), approving the erection and operation of 28 MHI Vestas V174-9.5 MW turbines, an offshore substation, and internal cabling within Mecklenburg-Vorpommern’s coastal waters. This decision updated the earlier project consent and confirmed the detailed layout and technology for the wind farm ahead of construction.
