By July 2022, transmission system operator 50Hertz had completed the key export cable installation step for Arcadis Ost 1 by pulling the previously wet‑stored 220 kV submarine cable into the offshore substation platform, thereby connecting the substation to the German extra‑high voltage grid under the Ostwind 2 connection project.
