Vattenfall, EWE and RWE, the owners of the 60 MW alpha ventus offshore wind farm, launched a qualification phase and tender process for a decommissioning contract worth around EUR 50 million, inviting expressions of interest by 16 December 2025 for the safe dismantling and removal of all twelve turbines, their foundations, inter-array cables, scour protection and the offshore substation, including onshore transport, recycling and disposal, with offshore work expected to begin from 2027 or 2028.
