The replacement 12 kV submarine cable to Agersø and Omø was energised in 2012 following SEAS-NVE Holding's 2011 supply tender (delivery deadline 31 July 2012 per the NKT Cables CPV 31321220 procurement record). The cable replaced the approximately 50-year-old existing link and restored full electrical supply to both islands via the Cerius (formerly SEAS-NVE) distribution network. Used 2012-07-31 as the commissioning month based on the supply tender's explicit delivery deadline; the exact in-service date is not published in Danish public procurement records but the replacement was substantially complete by end of 2012 summer. A fibre optic cable was co-laid with the power cable during the same campaign, confirming completion of both utility services at the same time.
On 19 July 2011, SEAS-NVE Holding A/S issued its supply tender (CPV 31321220) for a replacement 12 kV submarine cable to Agersø and Omø, specifying delivery by 31 July 2012 and delivery on 1-2 drums implying a single cable system. The tender was awarded to NKT Cables A/S (listed as supplier under CPV 31321220/31321400 in the Danish public procurement records), replacing the approximately 50-year-old existing asset. The contract scope included design, manufacture and delivery of a three-core PEX-insulated sea-armoured cable with 95 mm² aluminium conductor and longitudinally water-tight design, capable of operating in water depths up to 40 metres. A fibre optic co-laid cable was also supplied as part of the project. Recorded during manual audit review 2026-04-14.
Seas-NVE completed the installation of a new 10 kV subsea cable between Agersø and Omø, replacing the approximately 50-year-old link to secure the electricity supply to the two islands as part of a DKK 30 million project.
