Italian state and local authorities, via a consultation notice from the Porto Torres Port Authority, opened a public consultation on Acciona’s application for a 30-year maritime concession to build a 480 MW floating offshore wind farm in the Western Sardinian Sea, off the central-western coast of Sardinia between Capo Marargiu and Capo Mannu. The project comprises 32 turbines of 15 MW each on floating foundations, a floating 66/380 kV HVAC offshore substation, and an export and onshore cable route from a landfall at the Port of Alghero to Terna’s existing 380 kV SE Fiume Santo substation near Sassari.
