Turbine installation at the Aberdeen Bay / EOWDC offshore wind farm started on 9 April 2018, when the first of the 11 MHI Vestas V164 turbines was successfully installed off the coast of Aberdeen. This marked the transition from foundation works to erecting the wind turbines themselves at the 93.2 MW demonstration site.
