Divento states that construction of the 7 Seas Med (7SeasMed) floating offshore wind farm, located around 35 km off the coast of Marsala in the Strait of Sicily, is planned to begin in 2028. The project, which comprises 21 floating 12 MW turbines with a total capacity of about 252 MW, will enter its offshore construction phase following receipt of the VIA environmental compatibility decree in March 2024.
