Vysus Group is an independent engineering and technical consultancy that supports owners and developers of energy, power and complex industrial assets and infrastructure. Formed in 2020 through a strategic carve‑out of Lloyd’s Register’s global energy division, it builds on more than 80 years of heritage in LR Energy. The company provides specialist expertise in asset performance, asset integrity and management, risk management and project management across energy assets in oil and gas, nuclear and renewables, as well as infrastructure, marine, rail and road. Its services span asset management, decommissioning, survey and geoengineering, grid connection and power systems, nuclear safety and probabilistic safety assessment, human factors, and security and resilience.
Vysus Group operates from more than 20 offices worldwide, including hubs in the UK, mainland Europe, the Nordics, the Americas, the Middle East, India, and Asia-Pacific, and reported around 400 employees globally in 2023, moving to about 300 employees in 2024 following a portfolio restructure. The firm’s Survey & GeoEngineering division has over 25 years’ track record and has supported offshore wind projects totalling more than 70 GW, over 20,000 km of submarine cable projects and more than 1,000 oil and gas projects, underpinned by its IRIS offshore project management and data services. Vysus has one of the world’s largest dedicated grid connection consultancies based in Australia and has strengthened its grid and power offering through the acquisition of Promaps Technology, a Norwegian software company providing predictive risk and reliability tools for electricity networks. The group also delivers energy transition and sustainability consulting, including ESG assurance, emissions management and environmental risk services, and has partnered with Antea to combine asset integrity management software with its engineering and maintenance-reliability consultancy.
