Seaway7, part of the Subsea7 Group, is a Norway-based offshore contractor focused on the construction of offshore wind farms. Headquartered in Oslo, the organisation delivers fixed and floating offshore wind projects for developers through integrated Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) solutions and standalone Transport and Installation (T&I) and Balance of Plant (BoP) contracts. Its core activities cover the installation of wind turbine generators, bottom-fixed and floating foundations, offshore substations, and submarine inter-array and export cables, alongside heavy transportation services tailored to the offshore renewables sector.
Operating globally, Seaway7 supports offshore wind projects across Europe, Asia and the United States, with a track record in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Taiwan and Poland, among other markets. The company has been active in offshore renewables since 2009 and has completed 79 offshore wind contracts across 52 projects, including major developments such as Hollandse Kust Zuid, Seagreen, Moray East, Beatrice, Dogger Bank and multiple projects in Taiwan including Changfang and Xidao, Zhong Neng and Hai Long. Seaway7 employs over 700 people onshore worldwide and has an offshore workforce of around 400, working from offices in Norway, the UK and a wider network of locations including Taipei and Singapore.
Seaway7’s capabilities combine project management, engineering, procurement and fabrication expertise with a dedicated high-end fleet. Its active fleet comprises twelve specialist vessels for cable laying, heavy lifting and heavy transportation, supplemented by a high-specification jack-up installation vessel delivered in 2024 for wind turbine and foundation installation. In 2023, following a voluntary exchange offer, Seaway 7 ASA was delisted from Euronext Growth Oslo and Seaway7 became 100% owned by Subsea 7 S.A., continuing to operate as an autonomous subsidiary within the Subsea7 Group.
