Nur Energie Ltd is a privately owned solar power plant developer and investor headquartered in London. The company focuses on delivering low‑carbon, utility‑scale solar generation in Southern Europe, North Africa and the Middle East using a multi‑technology platform that includes photovoltaic (PV), concentrated photovoltaic (CPV) and concentrated solar power (CSP). It develops, finances and manages solar power plants, providing services such as project origination, resource and energy‑mix analysis, and structural development, and deploys whichever solar technology is best suited to specific sites and geographies. Its principal shareholders are Armonia LLC, a US‑based impact‑focused family office, and Low Carbon Ltd, a UK renewable energy investment company, alongside the management team and other private investors.
Nur Energie is active across Tunisia, Greece, Morocco, France, Italy, India and other markets. In Tunisia it has been present since 2008 and is a founding partner in the TuNur project, an intercontinental CSP export scheme that foresees a 2.25 GW central‑receiver tower complex in the Sahara desert and a 2 GW high‑voltage direct current submarine cable from Tunisia to Italy. The project is designed to generate around 9–9.4 TWh per year of dispatchable renewable electricity for European markets while supporting industrial development, energy security and CSP know‑how in Tunisia and North Africa. In Greece, through joint ventures such as Nur‑MOH Heliothermal and NUR‑MINOS, the company is developing the MINOS CSP tower plant on Crete, a fully licensed 50 MW project with molten‑salt thermal storage that has secured a €42 million NER300 grant and aims to provide firm power into the island grid. Nur Energie also participates in European innovation programmes, including the HiCon Horizon Europe project to develop solar fuels.
