MT Højgaard Holding is a Danish construction group headquartered in Søborg that provides construction, civil engineering and infrastructure services to public and private clients in Denmark and selected international markets. Originating from the founding of Højgaard & Schultz in 1918 and later mergers, the group develops, plans and executes projects across the full value chain, from project development and design through new build, renovation, civil works, infrastructure and building services. Core activities include residential, commercial and industrial buildings, large-scale infrastructure such as bridges, tunnels and harbours, and projects linked to the green transition, including energy-related civil works and offshore wind foundations. The group also undertakes land and building sales and operates through contracts ranging from main and design‑build contracts to public‑private partnerships.
The group is organised as a holding company with two main business units. MT Højgaard Danmark delivers new construction, renovation, civil works, infrastructure and green-transition projects, including complex transport and stormwater tunnels, port expansions and energy infrastructure frameworks. Enemærke & Petersen focuses on renovation, new construction, building services and strategic partnership models, supported by a dedicated construction factory for prefabricated components. In 2025 the group generated revenue of DKK 10.2 billion with an EBIT margin of 4.2%, delivered around 400 construction, refurbishment and civil engineering projects and more than 20,000 service and damage-control tasks, and employed just over 3,000 people.
MT Højgaard Holding is listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen and positions itself as an active, long-term owner of its business units, with a strategy targeting stable, profitable growth, above‑market expansion and increased profitability from 2027. Sustainability is integrated through a focus on green-transition and circular-economy projects, a strong safety culture and policies on climate and environment, human rights, anti-corruption, diversity and data ethics under a UN Global Compact commitment.
