LS Cable & System is a South Korea‑based cable manufacturer that develops, produces and installs power, telecommunication and industrial cables and related materials. Established in 1962 and headquartered in Anyang, it forms part of LS Group and operates through four main business areas: Energy, Industrial Cables, Telecommunication and Materials. Its portfolio spans low-, medium-, high- and extra‑high‑voltage power transmission and distribution cables and systems, submarine and HVDC cables, overhead lines, bus duct, industrial specialty and device cables, automotive cables, tubes, optical fibre and optical cables, structured cabling systems, RF feeder systems, copper rod and magnet wire.
The company supplies these products and turnkey engineering, installation and commissioning services for high‑ and extra‑high‑voltage land and submarine links to power authorities, utilities, heavy electrical equipment makers, EPCs and communications carriers. It is active in grid reinforcement, renewable energy and offshore wind export and inter‑array systems, and provides dedicated solutions for wind power, railways, marine and offshore, automobiles, airports and wide‑area and urban communication networks. Domestically, LS Cable & System operates large manufacturing plants in Gumi, Indong and Donghae and a central R&D centre, and internationally it manages more than 60 production sites, sales offices and subsidiaries in around 20 countries across Asia, the Americas, Europe, Africa and Oceania, including cable and material manufacturing hubs in Vietnam, China, India, Egypt, Poland and the United States. As of December 2024 the company reported sales of 6,765 billion KRW, total assets of 7,299 billion KRW, about 6,500 employees and 42 subsidiaries, and it pursues ESG‑oriented “green management” through environmental investments, emissions and resource‑use reductions and sustainability reporting.
