Kyushu Electric Power Transmission and Distribution Company, Incorporated is the electricity networks company of the Kyuden Group, responsible for general electricity transmission and distribution in Japan’s Kyushu region. Established on 1 April 2019 and wholly owned by Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc., it is headquartered in Fukuoka and supplies power across the prefectures of Fukuoka, Saga, Nagasaki, Oita, Kumamoto, Miyazaki and Kagoshima. Its business is positioned within the Kyuden Group as the dedicated Electricity Transmission and Distribution segment, separate from power generation and retail activities.
The company plans, builds, operates and maintains the regional grid, including 656 substations with a combined capacity of about 79.9 million kVA, 11,297 km of transmission lines and 174,510 km of distribution lines. It also owns and operates power generation facilities on remote islands, comprising 32 sites with 322,000 kW of capacity, mainly internal‑combustion and small hydro plants. As of 31 March 2025 it reported total assets of 2,061.8 billion yen and employed 3,758 people. A network of branch and distribution offices across all major cities in Kyushu and a Tokyo office underpins local service delivery and customer interface.

It emphasizes construction, maintenance and operation of its network as the core of this role, while also seeking to address social challenges such as carbon neutrality.
