Electromec S.A. is an engineering, design and construction company focused on power and energy infrastructure, headquartered in Greece and operating both domestically and abroad through subsidiaries in Romania, Libya and the United Kingdom. Founded in 1993 as ELECTROMEC Design, Construction and Commercial Company S.A., it holds a 4th class contractor’s degree and works across construction, electromechanical, industrial and energy sectors for public and private clients. The company has contributed to the formation and upgrade of the Greek electricity grid through EPC delivery of high‑voltage and medium‑voltage assets, including 150 kV and 400 kV AIS/GIS substations, overhead and underground transmission lines at 33–400 kV, HVDC converter stations, and wider electromechanical installations. Electromec provides turnkey EPC, supervision, and operation and maintenance services for HV/MV substations and interconnection facilities, power plants and public infrastructure. Its portfolio spans wind farms, photovoltaic parks and hydroelectric plants, as well as thermal lignite, natural gas and CHP plants. Project references include the Cyclades interconnection programme such as the GIS Naxos substation, 150 kV cable installations for Cyclades, Kafireas and Rafina, the 400 kV extra high‑voltage center at Thisvi, GIS substations in South Rhodes and Evia, and a 20 MW programme of ten small wind farms on Psara. The company also undertakes public‑sector works on airports, seaports, and water and wastewater treatment plants. Electromec maintains long‑term relationships with major Greek and international energy players, including IPTO/ADMIE, PPC and PPC Renewables, Enel, Hellenic Cables, Nexans, Protergia, Prysmian, TERNA, ABB and Alstom. The group operates integrated management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 39001 and ISO 50001, underpinned by formal quality, environmental, health and safety, road safety, energy management and reporting policies, and it has established a whistleblowing channel as part of its corporate governance and compliance framework.
