Falmouth Divers Ltd is a multi‑discipline diving, subsea and marine civil engineering contractor based in Penryn, Cornwall. Established in 1978, the company has over 35 years’ experience delivering commercial marine projects and reports operations in more than sixty countries across six continents. It provides personnel, plant, vessels and materials to act either as main contractor or specialist sub‑contractor across most marine industries, supported by UKAS‑approved, externally audited safety, quality and environmental management systems.
The company’s activities are organised around six core sectors: marine civil engineering, diving services, workboats and equipment hire, submarine cables, marine salvage and offshore renewables. Its marine civil and subsea engineering scope includes piling, dredging, marine construction and hydrographic survey, often using in‑house workboats operated through FD Marine Ltd. Commercial diving is central to the business, covering inshore and offshore air diving to 50 metres, contaminated‑water (hazmat) operations, ROV work, underwater fabrication and engineering, inspection and testing, and pipeline and cable installation. Falmouth Divers also maintains significant capability in marine salvage and wreck removal, and has been engaged on projects ranging from short surveys to multi‑month programmes.
Submarine telecommunications and power cables form a core sector, with services spanning shore‑end landings, estuary and river crossings, burial, protection, inspection and remedial works. In offshore renewables, the company has worked on offshore wind projects for more than a decade, including contracting on the world’s first open‑sea wind turbines, and participates in the marine renewable energy supply chain through the Marine Offshore Renewables (MOR) Group. Its client base includes utilities, government agencies, defence organisations and infrastructure operators, such as Western Power Distribution, South West Water, the Environment Agency, the RNLI, nuclear operator Magnox, the UK Ministry of Defence and offshore wind developer London Array.
