Impresa Manca Costruzioni Generali S.p.A., headquartered in Sarroch (Località Villa d’Orri, Sardinia), is an Italian construction company focused on the full lifecycle delivery of complex civil works, particularly for industrial and energy-related infrastructure. Founded in 1961 by Paolo and Mario Manca as a supplier to the SARAS refinery, it initially operated within Sardinia before expanding across the Italian mainland from 1995. In 2000 the business became Manca Costruzioni Generali S.p.A., with management entrusted to Michele Manca di Villahermosa. The company designs, builds and requalifies civil works, combining multidisciplinary coordination with detailed executive design capabilities to provide turnkey projects.
Its core specialisations include civil works for industrial plants, traditional energy production facilities, renewable energy plants, industrial and municipal solid waste (RSU) landfill sites, and the demolition and environmental requalification of decommissioned industrial areas, as well as complementary civil works for existing assets. Impresa Manca participates in tenders and large, complex building operations and supports clients from early design through construction and servicing, underpinned by certified management systems compliant with UNI ISO 45001:2018, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001 standards. The company maintains a multidisciplinary internal organisation, with dedicated roles for administration and finance, project and technical direction, project management and accounting, environmental management, QA/QC and HSE, HR, and a network of site managers and HSE supervisors.
Impresa Manca has delivered civil works on multiple Italian energy and infrastructure projects, including onshore wind farms such as Villacidro, Porto Torres, Montegreppino, Ulassai and Cascinassa, the Tempa Rossa oil centre, the Terna Selegas substation, and safety works for ash basins at Enel’s La Spezia thermoelectric power plant. It is part of the sub-consortium led by FATA on Terna’s Tyrrhenian Link HVDC interconnection, where it is responsible for civil works, electromechanical installation, ancillary facilities and pre‑commissioning support for four converter stations that will connect Sardinia, Sicily and mainland Italy. Company policies emphasise resource optimisation, long‑term safety, the use of eco‑friendly materials, and ethical and responsible conduct toward people and the environment.
