egeplast international GmbH is part of the owner‑managed egeplast Group, a family company 100% owned by the Strumann family and headquartered in Greven, Germany. Founded in 1908, the group develops, manufactures, and sells plastic pipe systems for critical infrastructure. Its systems are used to transport drinking water, gas and wastewater, to protect power and telecommunications cables, and in industrial pipelines, irrigation and custom applications. The company processes polyethylene (PE‑HD), polypropylene and engineering plastics into pipes with outer diameters from 3 to 1,600 mm. In 2024 the group generated €191 million in revenue and employed more than 500 people across sites in Germany, the UK and Sweden.
egeplast operates three production sites in Greven, Doncaster/Sandtoft and Norsjö, supported by a 270,000 m² headquarters site in Greven that combines state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing, sustainable energy supply and integrated logistics. The company exports globally, with its pipe systems in use from Europe to Asia, and serves utilities, grid and network operators, design engineers, construction companies and trade partners in more than 30 countries. Management is led by Managing Partner Dr Ansgar Strumann and Managing Director Torsten Ratzmann, with egeplast having acquired full ownership of specialist subsidiaries such as Extena and Egeplast Procable to strengthen its Nordic and cable protection offerings.
A long‑standing focus on research and development has made egeplast a technology leader in multilayer and “intelligent” pipe systems, supported by more than 60 patents and environmental product declarations for solutions such as its Macroduct High‑T / Power Protect PE‑RT range. The company supplies monitored pipe systems and cable protection products tailored to trenchless installation and high and extra‑high voltage underground cable projects, exemplified by its role as main cable protection pipe supplier to the A‑Nord and DolWin4/BorWin4 grid connection projects, the largest single order in its history.
