Atlantique Offshore Energy (Chantiers de l'Atlantique Business Unit dedicated to marine energies) was awarded contracts on 6 October 2022 by EMYN (Éoliennes en Mer Îles d'Yeu et de Noirmoutier) and EMDT (Eoliennes en Mer Dieppe Le Tréport) to design, manufacture and commission the offshore substation topsides for the Yeu-Noirmoutier and Dieppe Le Tréport offshore wind farms (the EMYN-Yeu-Noirmoutier scope is captured in this role; Dieppe-Le-Tréport is a separate project record). Each project: 2,500 mt Electrical Offshore Substation Topside collecting and transforming power from 62 8 MW Siemens Gamesa wind turbines (~496 MW total) before injection into the French national grid. EMYN ownership consortium: Ocean Winds (Engie/EDP Renováveis joint venture) + Sumitomo Corporation + Banque des Territoires + Vendée Energie. EMYN financing close was achieved on 5 April 2023, starting construction. Per the Chantiers de l'Atlantique press release: "Atlantique Offshore Energy, Chantiers de l'Atlantique Business Unit dedicated to marine energies ... 2,500 mt Electrical Offshore Substation Topsides ... 62 wind turbines with a capacity of 8 MW, for a total power output of almost 500 MW".
