Offshore construction for the 500 MW Yeu-Noirmoutier wind farm commenced on 4 June 2024 with DEME's jack-up installation vessel Innovation installing the first monopile foundation at the site between the Iles d'Yeu and Noirmoutier in the Bay of Biscay. This was the first wind-farm-scope offshore works event — preceding marine activity (March 2024 RTE 225 kV export cable installation, late 2023 DEME pre-piling for the offshore substation jacket) was grid-scope and is tracked on the linked Yeu-Noirmoutier Export project per the tso_build_own transmission model. The OWF foundation campaign continued through 2024 and completed in June 2025; turbine installation began May 2025 and completed 29 April 2026 with the COD declaration the same day.
