On 18 June 2021, the Préfet de la Vendée issued a decision taking note of modifications to the EMYN offshore wind farm’s existing environmental authorisation, covering a change in the type of foundations for the turbine masts, removal of the met mast, and a new method for protecting the submarine cables. The prefect classified these changes as non-substantial under French environmental law, allowing the project to implement them without a full new authorisation procedure.
