Power supply to the Kollsnes onshore facility, the Troll A platform, and by extension the TWEL onshore grid interface, was restored on 4 April 2025 the same day as the outage occurred. Equinor confirmed restoration after work on a substation transformer was completed, and Gassco indicated operators were preparing for a safe restart of gas exports. The same-day restoration limited the gas processing impact to Thursday's capacity, with normal operations resuming shortly thereafter. The incident did not produce any persistent damage to the Skanska-built Kollsnes substation or the Siemens-supplied electrical packages, and TWEL power-from-shore operations to Troll B and Troll C resumed without lasting impact on the electrification project.
