SSEN Transmission held the first of two follow-up Shetland 2 HVDC Link marine consultation events at Mossbank Public Hall, Mossbank, Shetland on 4 November 2025 (3-7pm). The session presented more detailed information on the marine elements of the project, including potential offshore cable routes and landfall locations along the north-east Scotland coast and northern Shetland, and explained how the forthcoming Reach Subsea marine survey campaign (starting February 2026) would inform the project's design and development. The Mossbank event paired with the Portsoy event on 12 November 2025 to give both Shetland and Aberdeenshire mainland communities the opportunity to review and comment on the marine scope. The events built on the initial June 2025 marine consultation sessions at Brae and Portsoy.
