On 10 October 2022, the Scottish Ministers granted a variation under section 36C of the Electricity Act 1989 to the original Seagreen Alpha and Seagreen Bravo s36 consents (originally granted 10 October 2014). The variation, applied for by Seagreen Wind Energy Limited on 19 April 2022, amends the split of the 36 larger Phase 1A turbines between the Seagreen Alpha and Seagreen Bravo Offshore Wind Farms, such that more of the Phase 1A turbines are located in the Alpha wind farm area than in Bravo, aligning the consented layout with the April 2022 supporting Environmental Appraisal Report. A subsequent November 2022 s36C application sought to correct a drafting error within the October 2022 variation decision notice without changing the substance of the consent.
